Recently, Compass began acquiring Trimble R10 GNSS receivers, the next generation of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) survey technology. Unparalleled in GNSS field performance, these receivers include features that improve positioning and functionality in areas of poor reception. The Trimble xFill™ feature reduces downtime in the field by allowing the surveyor to continue to gather data for up to five minutes when radio or cellular signals are unavailable.
At Compass Geomatics we believe in the importance of giving back to our community. With field crews based in Slave Lake and servicing the local area, it is an integral part of our company’s community, providing not only a place of work, but also a home to several Compass employees. As such, over this past weekend Compass Geomatics Ltd. was the presenting sponsor for the Gilwood Golf & Country Club 2013 Club Championship in Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park, Alberta. Held on September 7th and 8th, the event was a two-day tournament, consisting of 36 holes, meals, prizes and a great time for all!
