Recently, Compass began acquiring Trimble R10 GNSS receivers, the next generation of Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) survey technology. Unparalleled in GNSS field performance, these receivers include features that improve positioning and functionality in areas of poor reception. The Trimble xFill™ feature reduces downtime in the field by allowing the surveyor to continue to gather data for up to five minutes when radio or cellular signals are unavailable.

In addition to this, the Trimble SurePoint™ feature has tilt compensation functionality which allows the surveyor to reach points that would have previously been inaccessible. Progressive technology is one of the key components of our business model at Compass Geomatics Ltd., as staying at the cutting edge of survey technology ensures that Compass staff is able to perform tasks in the safest, most accurate and efficient way possible.
