Viewing maps in 3D allows all vested parties to make decisions quickly where previously a field visit would have been required, possibly even incurring the high cost of a helicopter. Since our virtual fly-through sessions are done from the comfort of your office, weather conditions and travel time do not affect progress on the project. This also allows all members of a project team to be able to contribute at the same time.

All of the information a team needs for decision making is included in the 3D maps. Air photos, satellite images, LiDAR, infrastructure and environmental layers all come together to be viewed simultaneously on a realistic terrain model. Databases are linked to the map, so questions can be answered quickly. The ability to immediately generate a profile, determine a line of sight, or generate contours are just a few of the on-demand possibilities.

It’s like looking out the window of a helicopter - and you’re in control without leaving your desk. See locations from any perspective. Zoom in or out. Pan or fly over the entire area. During this virtual field visit, maps are edited to reflect the decisions being made. Paper or digital plots can be instantly generated for delivery to other stakeholders.
